Public information and warning: Violent Sexual Offender Released

In the interest of public safety, the Edmonton Police Service is issuing the following warning: Carradene Jobe-Bryant, 23, is a convicted violent offender and sexual offender and the Edmonton Police Service has reasonable grounds to believe he will commit another violent and/or sexual offence against a female while in the community.

Jobe-Bryant has a history of assaulting young adult females. His criminal behaviour suggests:

• A potential victim will likely be known to him

• A previous friendship may have been established over a period of time

• A violent assault could occur as a result of rejected sexual advances

• Location of an assault can be in private areas (dwelling) or semi-private areas (secluded walking path)

• A weapon could be used during the assault
  
  

Jobe-Bryant recently moved from British Columbia and will be residing in the Edmonton area.  He is being supervised by Probation while on a recognizance and will be monitored by the Edmonton Police Service. 

 

Jobe-Bryant has been placed on a series of court-ordered conditions including:

• Must immediately advise his supervisor of all close or intimate sexual and nonsexual friendships and relationships with females, including any attempts to initiate such friendships and relationships with females.

• Must not consume or possess alcohol or any controlled substances.

• Must not enter any premise whose primary purpose is the sale or distribution of alcoholic beverages (bar, tavern, liquor store, beer/wine store).  
           

Anyone with any information about any potential breaches of these conditions by Jobe-Bryant can contact the EPS at 780-423-4567.

 

The Edmonton Police Service is issuing this information and warning after careful deliberation of all related issues, including privacy concerns, in the belief that it is clearly in the public interest to inform the members of the community.
