Four stabbed; one other dead in overnight weapons complaint

The Edmonton Police Service is investigating an overnight weapons complaint resulted in one dead and four others in hospital.

At approximately 3:30 a.m. the EPS responded to a weapons complaint in the area of 102 Street and 107 Ave where they found two males suffering from stab wounds. EMS treated and transported the two men to hospital where they are currently stable but in serious condition. From there, investigations led Homicide investigators one block further to an apartment at 103 Street and 107 Avenue where they discovered a third male suffering from stab wounds as well. EMS transported the 23-year-old male to hospital where he died.

Subsequent investigations led detectives to find two additional males in hospital, also suffering from stab wounds. Police believe these events are related.

An autopsy has not yet been scheduled.

Homicide continues to investigate.
