The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is investigating the suspicious death of a male in north Edmonton this evening.
On Monday, July 24, 2023, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Northwest Branch patrol officers responded to a weapons complaint in the area of 172 Avenue and 111 Street. Upon arrival they located a male with serious injuries. The male was pronounced deceased on scene by paramedics.
Homicide Section has since taken over the investigation. An autopsy has yet to be scheduled.
Detectives are hopeful that dash camera footage from the area may assist with their investigation and are encouraging anyone that was driving in the area of 111 Street and 172 Avenue on Monday July 24, 2023, between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., to please contact the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone.
