The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in a mischief to auto complaint that occurred in southwest Edmonton.
Shortly after 10:00 a.m. on Monday May 15, 2023, police responded to reports of someone walking around the parking lot of the Terwillegar Recreation Centre slashing vehicle tires. Officers alerted nearby schools after receiving information that the suspect, possibly armed with a knife, was headed in their direction from the recreation center.
Police flooded the area with resources but were unable to locate the suspect. Further investigations confirmed that only one vehicle parked in the Terwillegar Recreation Centre parking lot was damaged, and officers believed the incident was targeted.
Police continue to look for a male suspect with a slim build, approximately 18 years old and 6’0 tall, wearing a black hoodie, a baseball cap with red bill, and baggy jeans.
