The Edmonton Police Service’s Animal Cruelty Investigation Unit (ACIU) is seeking the public’s assistance to identify suspect(s) responsible for an animal abuse incident.

On Dec. 31, 2022, a black two-year-old male cat named “Milo,” left his residence near 164 Avenue and 59 Street and did not return. On Jan. 8, 2023, shortly after 8:30 p.m., Milo’s owner reportedly found him on her porch, and saw that he had an arrow penetrating through the middle of his back.

Milo was immediately taken to a veterinarian for treatment and found to be suffering from a fever and dehydration. The arrow was successfully removed from Milo, and thankfully he is expected to make a full recovery.

ACIU investigators are asking anyone with information about this incident of animal cruelty to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567or #377 from a mobile phone. Anonymous information can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.p3tips.com/250.
