At approximately 4:45 a.m. this morning, Sunday, Dec. 18, 2022, Downtown Branch patrol officers responded to a weapons complaint at a suite near 103 Street and 106 Avenue. Upon arrival, EPS| members found a 23-year-old male suffering from serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
Paramedics treated and transported the male to hospital where he remains in stable condition.
While at suite, EPS officers were directed to a secondary scene, a convenience store, near 104 Street and 107 Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers found a 36-year-old male in the parking lot in medical distress suffering from life-threatening gunshot injuries. The male succumbed from his injuries on scene shortly thereafter.
