Police seeking information following shooting in west Edmonton

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is seeking the public’s assistance gathering information about a reported shooting that took place in west Edmonton early yesterday evening.

At approximately 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2022, West Division officers were called to the report of a shooting at a multi-unit residence in the area of 151 Street & 101 Avenue. It was reported to police that a confrontation took place between a male and another individual in front of the building, at which time the male was shot. 

EMS responded, treated and transported the 27-year-old male to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries where he remains.

Detectives continue to investigate and are asking anyone with information about the incident, the parties involved or a vehicle of interest (pictured below) to contact the EPS. Drivers or residents in the area who may have dash cam or home security footage that was active at that time are also encouraged to contact police.
