Police ask residents to check yards for weapon in Saddleback Road stabbing

Homicide detectives continue to seek information in relation to the Mar. 25 murder of Adam Keane.

Investigators now believe the murder weapon to have been discarded somewhere in the area where the stabbing occurred, and are asking residents who live in the Saddleback Road area to check their yards for edged weapons.

Anyone who locates a weapon or has any information about the homicide is asked to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567or #377 from a mobile phone. Anonymous information can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.p3tips.com/250.

Background

At approximately 11:20 p.m. on March 25, 2022, Southwest Branch officers responded to the report of a seriously injured male at bus stop #4285 along Saddleback Road.

Upon arrival, police located a male suffering from edged weapon injuries and provided life saving measures. EMS responded and transported the male to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

A Mar. 31, 2022 autopsy completed by the Edmonton Medical Examiner determined that Adam Keane, 35, died of a stab wound. The manner of death was homicide.
