The Edmonton Police Service is investigating the suspicious death of an adult male following a shooting at a lounge early this morning.
On Saturday, March 12, 2022, at approximately 2:45 a.m., West Branch officers responded to shots fired at a lounge located at 124 Street and 118 Avenue. Upon arrival, members located multiple victims outside the establishment.
EMS responded, treated, and transported two females and four males to hospital with various injuries. A fifth injured male attended a hospital on his own. One of the males succumbed to his injuries. Four of the victims experienced non-life-threatening injuries and two remain in hospital in serious condition.
Homicide Section has since taken over the investigation.
An autopsy on the deceased male is yet to be scheduled.
