Homicide Section investigators have issued an arrest warrant for Kosch (photo included below) for failing to stop at an accident causing death.
At approximately 1 p.m., Friday, May 21, 2021, EPS Major Collision Investigation Section officers responded to a fatal collision between McHatten, 36, and a vehicle, in the area of 129 Avenue and 126 Street. At that time, it was reported to police that a dark-coloured truck hit McHatten then fled the scene.
Paramedics performed life-saving measures on the 36-year-old man, however he was pronounced deceased on scene. An autopsy concluded that the cause of death was a crushing injury to the chest.
Homicide investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Kosch. He is known to drive a 2017 blackDodge Ram, Alberta licence plate CFY7146, and also has access to a 2007 silverJeep Commander, Alberta licence plate BDK8624, and a 2001 black Jeep Cherokee, Alberta licence plate SRU900.
