The Edmonton Police
Service has charged a 29-year-old Edmonton man in relation to a homicide that
took place in early May.
Shortly before midnight on Monday, May 3, 2021, Northeast Division officers were called to the report of a deceased male at a multi-unit residence in the area of 66 Street and 120 Avenue.
Following an autopsy completed by the Edmonton Medical Examiner’s Office on Thursday, May 6, 2021, investigators initially deemed the death of 64-year-old Peter Meyer as suspicious. Meyer’s death is now considered a homicide, and his cause of death is not being released at this time for investigative purposes.
On Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2021, EPS Homicide detectives arrested and charged 29-year-oldJordan Difrancescowith manslaughter in relation to Meyer’s death. The two men are known to one another.
