The Edmonton Police Service Homicide Section is investigating the death of a male that occurred in west Edmonton earlier today.
At approximately 12:15 p.m. today, Thursday, Aug. 6, 2020, police were called to the area of 166 Street and Stony Plain Road on the report of an altercation. Upon arrival, officers located a male with life-threatening injuries.
Paramedics attempted to treat the man, but he succumbed to his injuries on scene. A short time later, four individuals were taken into custody.
The EPS Homicide Section has taken the lead on the investigation. An autopsy has not yet been scheduled.
