On Wednesday, Jul. 22, 2020,
the Edmonton Medical Examiner completed an autopsy on the deceased male who was
found in southwest Edmonton on Jul. 17, 2020.
The deceased has been identified as Wael Osman, 19. The manner of death has been confirmed to be homicide, and the cause of death was a gunshot wound.

Background
Southwest Division patrol officers responded to an assault call at approximately 2:20 a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2020, at a social gathering being held at a rural residence near 184 Street and 8 Avenue SW.
Upon arrival, EPS members discovered a deceased male. Homicide Section took charge of the investigation.
