Homicide Detectives have charged a 34-year-old man in the death of a young
girl.
David Moss, 34, has been charged with 2nd degree murder in the death of Bella Rose Desrosiers, 7.
Edmonton’s Medical Examiner completed an autopsy on Wednesday confirming the cause of death as sharp force injury.
On the evening of Monday, May 18, 2020, Moss was visiting with the mother of the victim at their home located at 43 Street and 25 Avenue.
It was reported that Moss stabbed the child in front of her mother. The mother tried to intervene and attempted CPR until paramedics arrived on scene, after calling 911. The girl was pronounced deceased at the scene.
When officers responded to the home, they arrested Moss without incident.
*The EPS has made the decision to release the name of the victim, who in this case is a minor, due to the fact that the information is already in the public realm, and with granted permission from the victim’s mother.
