Between June 12 and Aug. 18, 2019, the EPS has received more than 20 reports of theft from liquor stores believed to involve the same male suspect. While active citywide, the suspect primarily frequents stores in south and west Edmonton, the most recent theft reported at a liquor store in the Capilano area of 50 Street and 101 Avenue. To date, the suspect has allegedly stolen more than $10,000 in merchandise, taking between $200 and $700 of liquor in each incident.

The suspect is described as a 35-45 year-old male of Middle Eastern descent, approximately 5’8”-5’10” in height and weighing between 220-240 lbs. The suspect reportedly frequently wears the grey t-shirt or red sweatshirt pictured below, along with black runners and a baseball cap and often steals the liquor by placing it in a duffel bag.
