Hashim Abdulkadir Mohamed, 24, Samatar Mohiadin, 20, Amiir Hussen, 20 and Mohamod Mohamod, 18 are each charged with first-degree murder in relation to this homicide.
“We would like to thank the citizens of Edmonton, as well as the local media for their assistance with this investigation,” says Staff Sgt. Bill Clark with the EPS Homicide Section.“Tips and information from the public ultimately led to the arrests of these four individuals.”
The EPS Homicide Section and Edmonton Drug and Gang Enforcement (EDGE) Unit continues to investigate.

Background
At approximately 10:45 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 19, 2018, police received numerous reports of gunfire in the area of 162 Avenue and 51 Street. Upon arrival, Northeast Division officers located a deceased male inside a vehicle who appeared to have sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
The Edmonton Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018 and determined the cause of death to be gunshot wounds. The manner of death was deemed homicide.
