On March 19, 2018, the EPS issued a news release seeking assistance locating Hatcher.
At approximately 1:30 a.m. this morning, Wednesday, April 11, 2018, members with the EPS Canine Unit on proactive patrol stopped a reported stolen vehicle in the area of 107 Avenue and 156 Street. Investigators determined the driver was Marcus Hatcher, 28, and took him into custody without incident.
Hatcher was found in possession of a large quantity of allegedly fraudulent credit card receipts and identification documents. In addition to eight warrants and 81 outstanding charges, including possessing identity documents and fraud, an additional 60 plus charges are pending against Hatcher.
Two passengers in the vehicle, a male and a female, were also taken into custody. The male was subsequently released and the female, Julie Ann Desjarlais, 34, was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
