Just before 6:15 a.m., a Plymouth Acclaim was travelling northbound on Manning Drive when it struck a westbound Chrysler Intrepid that was travelling westbound on 17 Street NE. The investigation revealed that the Chrysler allegedly failed to stop at a marked stop sign and was struck by the northbound Plymouth.
The 46-year-old male driver of the Plymouth sustained non-life threatening injuries.
EMS treated and transported the 24-year-old male driver and 19-year-old male front passenger of the Chrysler to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The 20-year-old female rear passenger, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Charges are pending against the driver of the Chrysler.
Roadways that were impacted by the collision are now open. The investigation continues.
