Berard has previous convictions for sexual and violent offenses and is known to have infectious diseases. The Edmonton Police Service considers Berard to be a violent sexual offender who poses a risk to the community.
Berard will be residing in the Edmonton area and the Edmonton Police Service is seeking a recognizance order on Berard who will be closely monitored by the EPS Behavioral Assessment Unit.
