The death of a 31-year-old man who was found in an apartment suite last week has been declared Edmonton’s 30th homicide of 2016.
Officers from EPS West Division were called to a report of a sudden death in an apartment suite in the area of 111 Avenue and 132 Street at approximately 12:05 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016. A 31-year-old man was located deceased in the residence. The death was not considered suspicious at the time.
The Edmonton Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy later that day and identified the man as Mahamat Adam Hosky, 31. His cause of death will not be released at this time to protect the ongoing investigation.
Investigation by the EPS Homicide Section has now determined the manner of death to be a homicide. Detectives are looking to speak with anyone who has information about the man’s death.
