The Edmonton Police Service seized nearly $100,000 in drugs and paraphernalia last week from a residence in downtown Edmonton; two individuals are now facing drug-related charges.
Downtown Division Beat officers conducted an investigation that culminated on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016 with the execution of a search warrant at a residence in the area of 95 Street and 105 Avenue. The seized items, with a street value of nearly $100,000, include:
- 86 grams of marijuana
- 2.5 grams of methamphetamine
- Approximately 10,000 various prescription pills, including oxycontin and dilaudid
- Multiple cellular phones
- Two scales and multiple drug bags
- Replica firearm
A man and a woman were arrested on the property without incident.
Louis Cook, 54, and Tammy Severight, 40, are charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking (x16), possession of stolen property under $5,000 and possession of an offensive weapon dangerous to public.
