The Edmonton Police Service is investigating a fatal collision that occurred early this morning on the Anthony Henday.
West Division responded to a single-vehicle collision just after 2 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 8, 2016. It was reported that a 58-year-old male was driving a 2014 Honda Civic northbound on the Anthony Henday when the vehicle struck a bridge support at 87 Avenue. The male driver was pronounced deceased on scene.
Speed is believed to be a factor in the collision. The EPS Major Collision Investigation Unit continues to investigate.
This is Edmonton’s third traffic fatality in 2016.
