Major Collision Investigation Unit is investigating a fatal single-vehicle rollover that occurred Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2015, at approximately 11:25 p.m. in Southwest Edmonton.
It was reported to police that a 2007 Chevrolet Suburban was travelling southbound on Terwilleger Drive, when the vehicle lost control just south of Rabbit Hill Road. The vehicle rolled over and came to rest in the center median, at which time two male occupants were ejected from the vehicle.
The 29-year-old driver sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision, while the passenger was rushed to hospital with multiple injuries, where he remains in stable condition.
Alcohol and speed are believed to be factors in the collision. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
