Southwest detectives hopeful witness of vicious assault on woman will come forward to assist with investigation

Southwest Division investigators are hoping a male witness who courageously intervened to stop the vicious and unprovoked assault of a woman will come forward to assist police in their efforts to find the two suspects.

It was reported to police, that on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015, a 28-year-old woman was walking her dog near Blackmud Creek Ravine, at approximately midnight, when she was approached by two male suspects in a parking lot near Bowness Way and Blackmore Wynd.

The suspects requested money from the complainant, before one of the males allegedly pushed her to the ground and began punching her repeatedly in the face. The suspects fled the scene, after a concerned citizen ran towards the suspects, while yelling at them to stop.

Investigators would like to speak to the witness of the assault, who may go by the first name of “Brad”.
